Archie B makes his Champion Records debut with two slices of timeless, engaging house music from the very
top drawer.
From the very outset the title track screams quality: from its slick synths stabs, infectious vocals and low,
chugging bass, all perfectly complimented with sharp, precise percussion. Archie’s wears his penchant for
classic house very much on his sleeve without ever getting lost in the past – this is exemplary, modern house
music of the very highest order.
Completing the package is Ipanema. Building itself around a timeless vocal sample, the groove is looser but no
less urgent, with the bubbling bass and looped vocals building to a devastating crescendo in the break.
